iPhone 4 News and Rumor Roundup, June 17, 2010

Yet again, we have no news from Apple or anyone else regarding the white iPhone.  However, a few interesting bits about iPhone in general are out there, and I'm here to bring them to you.

First, there's the release of iTunes 9.2.  It is now available for download from Apple.  This update brings iOS 4 and iPhone 4 comaptibility to iTunes, as well as new features like iBooks syncing.  As always, it's free, so whenever you have a spare moment you can get it here.

Second, as reported yesterday, new pre-orders for the black iPhone now won't ship until July 14.  This revelation, coupled with the fact that the white iPhone 4 is still not yet available for pre-order on Apple's site, leads me to believe that the August predictions are correct.  As to whether some white units will be available in Apple stores or other retail outlets on launch day to those who get in line without a pre-order, your guess is as good as mine.  We'll probably have to wait to find that one out on launch day.

Finally, Apple reported that 600,000 black iPhone 4s were pre-ordered between it and AT&T before they sold out.  That, according to Apple, is the biggest launch they've ever had of anything EVER.  So there may be a ton of new members of the little family we call iPhone users out there.  So get ready to be the cool older brother or sister when you get your white iPhone 4.

That's all there is out there right now, but I'll be keeping an eye on things for you and getting back to you right here at The White iPhone 4 Blog.  Cheers white iPhoneers.
